Nine Lives is a cocktail bar and Mexican taco & tapas kitchen on Bermondsey Street, London SE1. Tucked into the Victorian basement of No. 8 Holyrood Street, a short walk from London Bridge. We serve creative craft cocktails, seasonal Mexican tacos and small plates inspired by the sun-soaked flavours of Southern California and Guadalajara. Great music, great drinks, and seriously good food.

We aim to do some good in this world, trying our best to have a positive influence on our guests & the bar business in general. The name Nine Lives refers to an ethos of salvation – unveiled treasures, nothing wasted, everything lovingly sourced & selected with intention.

Seriously tasty & as fresh as it gets! Our seasonal tacos, with the sun-kissed flavours of 70s Southern California are created by our legendary chef ‘El Tigre’ of Guadalajara, Mexico. All served up from our taco truck for you to enjoy with a Margarita or Paloma.

A record pulled from its sleeve for the Nine Lives DJ programme, played on the bar's custom quadraphonic sound system

We are as obsessed about music as we are our drinks. The Nine Lives Sound System is custom built by Wave Research for high-fidelity playback. It features four custom built WR 322 full range speakers, for quadraphonic audio. The sound it rewards us with is rich & warm, perfect for some after-dark listening, drinking & dancing.

BOOK YOUR TABLE

At Nine Lives at we take bookings up to 20 guests maximum. Your table will be booked for 1.5 hours for parties of up to 4 and 2 hours for parties from 5 up to 12 guests and for 13-20 guests, we provide the space for up to 3 hours, with a deposit required.
